It was recommended to me by a marine engineer. My outboard is most definitely water cooled.
It's originally intended for lawn mowers and the like.
I just hope the manufactures don't find out it has 'marine uses' too - it might encourage them to put the price up :rolleyes:

Its a long time since I compared 2 stroke oils for air cooled engines with that for water cooled outboards in the laboratory but if I remember correctly there was a significant difference in viscosity.

Maybe your marine engineer is qualified to give the advice... I dont know.

Personally I'll stick to a TCW3 oil for my water cooled outboards but since they claim it is stocked by the local garden machinery store I might try it for the lawnmowers when the bottle of Halford's oil runs out in a few years time........ I except that by then I am unlikely to be mowing grass .. pushing it up more likely
