Eh bien, mon ami, when you reached Rochefort there was eau in plenty, mais quand l'eau est departe, le Rochefort crumbled beneath your derriere, est votre bateau fell over and struck le mast sur le quai.
Non?
Ou peut-etre un eclair de la foudre avec la tonnerre (pas un eclair chocolat)? Donner und blitzen, mein herr?

Close, but not quite sufficient for the award cigar.

OK...your boat was laying over on the crumbly cheese, and while you were sleeping some of Rochford's finest tied an old XR3i convertible to your main halliard.

No, didn't get any further than Levington last night. Was there enough South in the wind for comfort?

Horatio gagnez le cigar.

Fortunately, we remembered at 2230 last night and whizzed back to the yard to unping it.

I've never been there :o Are there usually vacant moorings to grab? (Don't start on about anchoring please)

No, no vacant moorings ever. No space to anchor. Best to avoid completely.
Will this succeed in keeping people away from one of my favourite spots??

Blimey that must have been a trouser-changing moment when you remembered!

Quite. In fact I was just considering pouring a mighty whisky, which would have meant tricky logistics to get there in time.
This was followed by some instantaneous mental tidal height calcs, which were uncannily accurate when I looked at the tide gauge on the slipway wall, when I got there.
