Would you fit a Solar Vent to a Forehatch ?

My heads was under the forehatch in my previous boat and I fitted a solar vent in it. It lasted at least 15 years, and was still going when I sold the boat. As it was over the heads a few drips didn't matter, but the vent was removable and and a sealed plug could be fitted (but I never did). Kept the boat and heads fresh all the time and dealt with 1000s of miles of offshore and ocean sailing.

"Shame .. its a good unit and tested out on the bench - had a good draw / flow of air .... OK - its a brushed motor so - its not most efficient ...

But the consensus here indicates not to fit."

I was impressed enough with the solar one I fitted on my old boat to fit one to replace the passive vent on my new boat,

Family4 .... that's a boat I want out here for the river .....

Coach-roof .... yep .. that's where I am now planning to fit on my Cormoran :

Take out the conventional vent - that just catches jib sheets every time.
That's my family four, with the vent on the roof
