Your capitalist whining about mere objects is totally invalid. What is more important is that these "lads" are re-habilitated at whatever expense. Your neighbour's got insurance hasn't he? These poor victims of the capitalist society need help to gain their proper status as valuable members of the community.

I know all of the above to be true, I heard the Deputy Prime Minister say so.

Well, at least that's going to reduce the crime figures a bit. £500 should keep them in supplies of crack cocaine for a couple of days, without having to rob anyone to get it..............

says that 98% of the population believes one is justified in using violence to protect one's property against criminals. which puts the government among the 2%. great thing democracy!

"Great thing democracy" I'm sure I recall an M.P years ago being interviewed on T.V in the run up to yet another vote on bringing back capital punishment. He stated that whilst he recognised that the majority of his constituents were in favour of capital punishment he would be voting against it.
Silly me, there was I thinking we elected these people to represent the views of the people that put him there.
