Would blocked pre fuel filters cause an evc alarm on acceleration ?
I’ve never seen 2 seals on a D3 filter only the early D4/6 , if you fit the wrong one I’ve had issues as the early one has the pick up tube in the middleIs it a D3, if so then its probably the fuel filter on the engine isn’t tightened enough, there is a bulletin about this. The inner seal stands higher than the outer seal so people screw it up until they feel its tight but the outer seal isn’t compressed and under load it sucks air in causing the EVC alarm. They need tightening with the same filter strap used to remove it!
If it’s a D3 it could b3 the turbo actuator seizedWould blocked pre fuel filters cause an evc alarm on acceleration ?
Where did you get fuel in Wales.penta d6's,
turbo boost pressure on clocks read good,
i think we have just put bad diesel in ? there was lots of little red dots in the diesel when we removed the pre filters (soft not gritty).
we do use marine 16 and we put marine 16 diesel complete in the tanks when we fueled up at weekend.
i have ordered new filters for this weekend, just wondered if i was barking up the wrong tree ?
Before you change anything run it and check the priming knob if it pulls down at full throttle it’s a vacuum in the system so could be pre filters blockedWould blocked pre fuel filters cause an evc alarm on acceleration ?
