What might a Mariner 10 2-stroke longshaft, 2002 vintage, in pristine order and just pro serviced, be worth to a willing buyer?

Afraid I can't give a figure, but quite a few people are keen to have 2-strokes, unavailable new now of course.

Smaller engines around 5hp where 2 or 4 stroke makes the difference between easily lifted or not are particularly relevant to this, but it must still apply to an extent with a 10, which sounds ideal for a small open fishing boat like a Cygnus or similar, or a yacht around 25' ?

Thinking about it, that engine should suit something like one of the smaller Wharram cats very well.

If you know where to go, a brand new Tohatsu 9.8hp two stroke is about £1300 so a second hand one is either worth maybe half that or whatever you can get for it?
