Out cycling the towpath yesterday and saw an EA team clearing the bankside and branch lopping near Sunbury.
Now if it takes 1 barge and 4 men 1day to clear 50yds of bank, how long will it take to reach......... Windsor? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'd like to have seen that . .as you say "wonders".

Happy to report that lock closure at chertsey is coupled with activity already (01NOV closure) .. although there was not a soul working the weekday afternoon I went to look !

Both locks above and below me were due closed on the 1st Nov as well, neither have started work. Mind you they would be hammering piles in underwater at the moment, but it might be like this until March when they are due to reopen.

Thats because they moved the work boat to open the lock for the save our waterways protest and as the river has got worse since then the owner refuses to move the boat untill the river settles down ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
