Carrying on with Our Little East Coast Adventures we visited Wivenhoe on the Colne Yesterday. Lovely Place it is to and In my view the recent redevelopments are very nice.

How many of you have brought your boat up the Colne........ Avoiding the Essex Mud of course.

Little Video below.....

I enjoyed looking at that, as I was involved with the barrier and subsequent land negotiations when working for the EA. This was before all the new housing was built on the old Cooksey's boat yard and on the old port area. It all looks very smart now.

I work in housing development and see some poor developments. I thought however that these relatively new developments here looked very nice indeed. Many thanks for watching and your kind comments. The Barrier was interesting to look at.

I took my old RLM up there back in 2010, we'd come down from the broads and did a tour of the blackwater stopping a night in maldon a couple of nights in bradwell and a couple of nights in brightlingsea, while at brightlingsea we did a day trip up to rowhedge and stopped at the pubs there before heading back, there was an old lady having a swim, she said she did it everyday up on the tide for a while as it peaked and back on the ebb to where she started at rowhedge common for an hour or so's repreive from arthritis pain, she was braver than I'll ever be that's for sure.
Thanks for the reminder.
