I visited Swanick marina recently and was impressed by the cars parked around the boats, I assumed they belonged to wealthy boat owners or Yacht Brokers perhaps...............that is until earlier this month when a Porsche 997 c4s complete with personalised plate (its a Swanick thing) turned left out of Swanick and took off over Bursledon bridge embedding itself into the bridge shortly after landing , wealthy boat owner.............. no a poor boat mechanic !

Anyone from this forum know anything ?

Good point, if there are injuries (other than pride and being embarrassed about overcharging ) then please let me know and I will delete.

From the feedback I got and I was in Weymouth harbour ( so not me i dont own a porsche) at the time there were three other vehicles involved, a friend was at cabin boatyard Saturday evening , it was the berth holders b b q, a loud bang was heard so they rushed to the road to see a Porsche with its offside wing and front all over the road , a BMW, a Peugeot and something else all acted as his brake so to speak. I did see some pics the day after as our friend joined us in Weymouth.

Talk in the trade and ill stress its only talk reported he had had a few beers at lunch and that CCTV footage had been requested from companies in the area by the police.

Thats all I know.

Henry is your man on this subject but from my experience of 997 4s you would have to have had a few or got it seriously wrong at the off.
