Wiring Trailer Lights

I have pulled the connecting plug off the trailer lighting board cable.(forgot to disconect it before wheeling the trailer away)

Anyone with any tips as to which wire goes where?

If you don't get any more sensible replys, nip down to Halfords or such like with a pen and paper and look at the back of a new plug, they usually have a wireing diagram of some sort. As for pulling the plug off, just be greatfull it wasn't a hydraulic connection. I once saw someone tow a power set away from an aircraft without unplugging it - never lived it down!

Thanks for the replies people.Using the guide on one of the sites you suggested its now all reconnected and running.

i did try google first but got hundreds of sites that didnt seem to help a lot.

As a by the way my ham-fisted 14 year old son managed to insert the lighting board plug upside down the other day. I didn't think it was possible. Strangely everything worked but when the car signalled left the trailer signalled right.

There is a big locating lug on the plug and socket, how strong is he?
