A sparky friend wired my battery charger up a few weeks ago - not used yet because I have only just fitted the shorepower - and when I went to check it today he had wired the positive to the positive of the engionge start battery and the negative to the negative opf the engine start battery.
I want to connect the domestic battery bank to the charger, not the engine start battery, so have moved the positive terminal to the positive terminal of the nearest of the two linked 110AH domestic batteries.
The negative terminal of the engine start battery is wired directly to the engine earth, so I guess I can just leave the negative lead from the charger on that? (The manual says to connect direct to engine earth, not on a battery terminal, but can't see any real reason for that??)
