Wiring in 2000w inverter

For an installation, which is where the video originally stemmed from?

I don't specifically recall whether they said for an installation, or not, but i'd guess they were talking about it being "portable". Personally, and i'm sure you'll agree, nothing gets "installed" without an RCD and everything else that would go with any other AC source installation.

Yes, it was mentioned it would be installed http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?500331-quot-Occasional-quot-240v in the first post so it definitely does need protection, inbuilt electrical suppression isn't good enough for regulation. Double pole RCD and all double pole breakers in the case of a centre tapped arrangement.

Pics of the Durite will appear when I get in front of a PC to upload. The inverter is now resting at the bottom of the skip at my workshop as it now fails to work and only giving out between 100-130V between L & N so it is dead. It has blown half the board.

It was said in the thread installed, but that wasn't a Durite inverter. The Durite thing cropped up later and i don't recall if Durite were talking installed or portable.

Either way, as far as i'm concerned, installed is installed, not half installed. If it's installed it complies with all relevant rules for installed AC sources.
