Wireless mast-head instruments

My nasa wireless wind has worked fine since installing. My mast is about 10 metres ish.

Is wireless preferable WRT lightning strike electrics damage, or does it not make much difference?

I’ve had Tacktick wind and depth Fir the last 6 years, wind did have issues with comms, eventually found out the mast was blocking the signal, solved by fitting 2k interface in forepeak cabin as this was in front of mast, it acts as repeater and solved the problem. Just got battery kit as the wind cup bearings need changing so will do both at the same time, if I were to fit again would go wired as on our boat wireless has not been enough benefit especially now all on boat is 2k

You're still gonna have the VHF aerial at the top of the mast, aren't you?

The solution is a wireless radio.
