wiper arm query

Hi everyone,
the wiper arms on my seaward 23 have finally expired and I need replacements. The boat is from 1993 and has wexco wwf wiper motors fitted (which I believe are the original items fitted when the boat was built). These are american units? and according to what I have found on the net take 1/2" drum fitting wiper arms. When I measure the shaft on the wiper motor with a set of verniers it is approx 13.8 mm and i'm guessing 72 spline. There seem to be a lot of arms for sale on the net, with many adverts not mentioning what fit they are. has anybody else been in this situation and if so can you tell me where you found suitable replacements, thanks in advance

Have a look at ASAP, they carry quite a stock of wiper kit.

Hi,
Not sure if this will help but I had trouble finding a replacement blade for a WWF motor. I found one in Oklahoma!
AEI were very helpful but shipping costs were horrendous!

Roca make them for 72 spline shafts. I just bought some for my Vetus motors.

Here is the link to the Vetus on-line catalogue, you will find a lot on wipers. I would be suprised if Seaward sourced fro the USA! I have a lot of fittings on my motor cruiser that are the same as Seaward (mine is a Harley 25, similar). http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/4a7db1e9#/4a7db1e9/1

Thanks all I,ll give asap a ring tomorrow, I think possibly the Roca wiper arms they stock might fit, I think from what I,ve seen on line the vetus arms are now 16mm diameter unless their older arms are smaller theyre a bit big. I was hoping they,d be more readily available and from some of the prices I,ve seen a lot cheaper as well

Why don’t you give Seaward a call, as I’m sure they’ll be able to tell you the wipers supplier.
