Hi there,

Has anybody wintered at Constellation Nautica in Fiumicino? Any views welcome.

Thanks in advance...

Its been a while, but it was a nice town (city) with all types of eateries.
The free bus to the airport to replace the train which was diverted, has now ceased.
The bridges both need to be in working order to put to sea.It was out of action a few years ago leaving many ashore for the foreseeable.
No berthing between the bridges as the Guardia Finanza HQ seems to be there.
Other yard further upriver seems ok as well.
Bus to a vast shopping centre Leonardo da Vinci.
Spin supermarket, good for everyday stuff is a short walk inland.
Swell is not really perceptible at Constellation and further up canal.
Sea outside is shallow and rough at times.
Its wall to wall trawlers in the first stretch if the weather gets nasty.
Much crashing of tyres and fenders off the walls.
I also used Lido di Ostia, ask for a discount, telling them you are a member of a Cruising Association.Expensive and does silt at entrance overwinter.
here is an old link which works
