Wintering in Brussels?

I'm still hoping for Amsterdam(and thanks for all the really helpful replies from earlier posting on this) - but the crew may have got herself a contract for winter work in Brussels. Anyone with experience of marinas etc in brussels area? Any recommendations? Will I need to take mast down?

Antwerp is only about 30 miles away from Brussels and as a major port there should be moorings available without the requirement to lower your mast.

On the other hand the Belgium canals are so economical (approx £2 per metre for three months) that it may be worth your while biting on the bullet and getting into the canal system for the winter.

I can thoroughly recommend Veurne (60+ miles from Brussels) as a magical stop-over town.
