Winter ashore storage

I'll be staying at the same boatyard as usual, HYC . It's gone up again, as it seems to do every year now to a smidge under £900 for my winter package. I suppose someone's got to pay for all the "improvements", and the fancy new website, but apart from it being a bit overcrowded in the winter and spring, I don't have any real complaints.

Try Emsworth Yacht Harbour, over the last few years there have always been a couple of Twisters ashore there, so you'll be in good company. EYH has always been pretty good, price wise. You will have to time your arrival and departure though because of the sill.

Give Barry a call, but be quick, they fill up!

Yes Tom, they get booked up very quickly, they have a lot of the sailing club boats ashore there dont they? Thats a good indication they are cheap!

Five Twisters in Emsworth Yacht Harbour last winter. Chiseller, Moonspinner, Edith Rose, Whistler, Tammie Norie. At least three of us are booked in again this year. Good facilities include hot water, free electricity, decent showers, clean heads, tea/coffee, chandlery on site plus free advice from Twister support group. You need to own or hire a cradle and mast has to come down.

..... And you are walking distance from the Sussex Brewer, great beer plus O'Hagan sausages.

Its best to enter with caution though, I've heard that one I Grant and Tom are to be found in there on occassions.

With a nice mooring on the Hamble why are you thinking of winter storage ashore? I had a quick look at the deck as I passed by Indigo this morning during a trip up the Hamble while on my way back to Poole from the Boat Show, deck looks good. Has it been worth it and could you PM me with the worth value please.
