Windy here at the Mo

The staff will be out on the pontoons at Shotley - they were when we berthed there.
Seen on Twitter that they've been out twice today already checking all their customers' boats. Impressed.
Well at least it was far from as windy as some of the Press hysterics suggested it was going to be. In fact our Simon Keeling was pretty well spot on I reckon.
Drove daughter to work this morning. Had BBC local radio on to check any problems. They went on, and on, and on...about very little. So the Off button was swiftly deployed.
Still 30 wind turbines at the Kentish Flats this morning, which is a tad disappointing.

I agree with you about the wind turbines. The Stena Line ferry left Harwich on schedule, during the worst, but I have to confess that I'm pleased I wasn't on it!

Seems to ave leapt up to 50knot gusts at harwich now...

Zilch in nottingham.

Non event clearly further up country, travelled from Derbyshire to Lancashire, plenty of surface water but no more than than a very gentle breeze.

More lines put on our ship at Shotley over the weekend so hope all is OK.

Very poor quality from camera 'phone on Brightlingsea prom @ 7:15 this morning. It's not smoke, it's not rain... Very difficult to take the picture - getting blown over backwards when holding the 'phone up into the wind!

I'm on it coming back from the Hoek now. All very civilised and comfortable. She did need a tug to get off the berth though.
