I am actively looking to buy a Windy 32 Grand Tornado.

I've looked at the 2x currently advertised for sale in the UK (Cowes and Lymington) and was wondering if anyone knows of any others that are for sale or likely to be for sale in the near future?

Any owner comments good or bad about Windy 32 GT's would also be welcome.

We have a 37 grand mistral (and a 25 mirage), its not for sale, but just wanted to let you know weve had no significant issues with it in the 7 years weve owned it. Handles nicely, goes well, decent accomodation.

I'm reminded of the famous quote by gjgm of this parish, when he had both a 28 Ghibli and a 34 Khamsin:

Forum: 'Why on earth have you got two Windys?'

Gjgm: 'Because I thought three was excessive...'

This may be of interest . It is in the Dry Stack at Cobbs Quay and has been dry berthed from new.

I looked at this very boat this morning - about an hour after you posted your reply!

The layout is not what i'm looking for as we normally take another family out for the day so seating for 8 is what we're after.

Having looked at a number of Windy's today both in Poole and Lymington with Hugh from Berthon, its now either a 32 Grand Tornado or a 34 Khamsin.

The 34 Khamsin i saw was a 2004 boat with KAD300/285hp's which have done 267 hours but not used since 2012. Clearly they need a complete service inc' drive and bellows (£2k i'm told) and a thorough going over by the Volvo agent, but should i be worried?

What is strange is that the boat was in the Med and certified for charter but supposedly never actually chartered.....?

Does anyone have access to the boatsold website and able to print-off sold prices for the Grand Tornado and Khamsin to give me some benchmark prices?

Thanks in Advance.

You could try a pm to Nick_h, he sold a Khamsin 34 recently.

You are aware I have sent you a fairly extensive PM ? Benchmark prices are not going to exist for these boats for the reasons I explained.
Not really added it up, but I'd guess I've done maybe 7-10k miles in the Khamsin if you want to know anything about it as a boat.

I am considering a Khamsin located in a Marina on the north east coast of Spain but need to factor in the cost of transport back to the UK - anyone have any recommendations of companies to approach?

I've just posted a 32GT on my website and Yachtworld. I went through every example available in the market with the owners when we bought it and it really is a stunning example even though it's in Mallorca. Only reason they're selling is because they are upgrading.

Happy to explain more if if interest. Please pm me if you want to discuss.
