One of the windscreen wiper motors on my Merry Fisher 925 has failed.

A strip down reveals a piece of plastic snapped. The part is not available from Jeanneau .

A new motor is just over £400 !

Anyone point me in the right direction for a scrap motor I could possibly cannibalise ?

Herewith Photos of motor.

You will see at the bottom left of the white drive cog that the cogs have sheared/worn off.

The motor is made by DOGA.

I'm afraid I cannot quite see the gear clearly enough but it looks as if you could remove the gear flip it over and be back in business, at least until you can source a more reasonably priced unit, or even just the gear that is worn.

This wiper motor "DOGA" is the same make as the one on my boat which is a 1986 French Built Guy Couach 22ft. I need a wiper arm and blade. It appears that although the wiper motors and arms may have been sold directly to boat manufacturers they did not supply them to Chandlerys as when in France I must have gone in nearly every Chandlery in Brittany looking for a new wiper arm and blade.
Now I notice that in addition to "Bainbridge Marine" listing them "Sea Screw" also list DOGA Parts. Is there any other distributor of DOGA parts.
Mind you I was going to buy a new motor at £32.95 from Force 4 but I would need to drill a hole in my screen and I believe that it may be toughened glass.
