The 65 kilo guy who cleans my Azimut 43 crawls across the vary large windscreen to do the job, although he leaves his hobnailed boots on the pontoon. I suggest he spreads his weight with a 80cm by 40cm piece of plywood (anything bigger is difficult to stow) but still worry about the strength of the glass. I am sure others have the same problem. Any comments, please?

I would encourage him to stay off the windscreen - if he can't reach something use something with a long handle.
the screens are very strong but break one and it's a serious job replacing it. (if you can get one!)
Using a flat piece of wood on any thing with a slight curve on it will potentially concentrate the weight so I definitely wouldn't do that either.

I'd also be worried about a piece of wood scratching it.

I agree, it's unlikely he'll break it but you never know. As Kashurst says, sourcing a new windscreen and getting git fitted may be a €10,000+ job.

Worth checking that your insurance would cover the cost of a replacement and / or the cleaning contractor has insurance that would.

I have seen lots of people want up windscreens - often as a " normal" way of getting to the fly bridge.

Not for me or on my boat thank you ! I am also sadly more than 65kg!

Friend of a friend was moving a boat in the Uk many years ago and the window caved in with a wave - so they can break!

A 65kg guy !!!
Is he a bean sprout or a midget ?
Stay off the screen regardless, better to buy a £3 extendable squeegy of eBay than a £10k windscreen !!
