Morning, all
So after sitting through a pretty hefty thunderstorm with all three of our deck saloon windows pissing water through like they weren't there, we have decided they need sorting.

We're planning to spend the winter in Gouvia and would like to get the windows sorted whilst we're there.

Anyone know someone who can sort this out for us? The windows are glass in aluminium frames. We're happy to take the windows out of the boat and put them back in, but would then need someone who knows what they're doing to re-bed the glass in the frames.

Any recommendations? We don't want to spend big bucks on this...

I'm in Gouvia and have just rebedded the glass in four of my portholes, when I get back from Holland in about two weeks, I can cast my eye over them for you and see if I can do them for you, or know a man who can. Just let me know by PM or answer here.

We had all eight of our windows re-sealed by a company in Athens this summer. Looks like a good job and came with a six-year guarantee. It wasn't cheap though. Cannot tell you their name, all done through the marina office at Leros, but can find out if you are interested.

This follows many attempts of my own to get them leak-free. They were OK in northern Europe but the temperature extremes in the Med always seemed to be too much for the adhesion after a few weeks.

Get the bus to Corfu town there are lots of boaty repair places on the front near the cruise dock. Buy some gloop there?

( I was in Gouvia last week on a land hol ! )
