Windermere Ferry Not Working?????

Anyone know why the ferry does not appear to be working? And what is the boat moored partly out of sight on the left of the picture??

Doesn't run in the winter???

Workboat for the freshwater biological association (who's web cam this is so that freshwater biologists can see when the ferry's coming if they want to get home in time for their tea)

Oh No! I'm hooked again.... the Windermere webcam had become something of cult viewing in our house but I thought I'd weaned myself off it until just now!

The drought order has gone but the hose pipe ban is still in. It's all down to the wrong rain you see .....
