Where can I source 2nd hand wind self-steering pilots?

my boat is a 28' steel sloop at 5 tons laden; bound for 'very' North Atlantic and Canadian Northwest Passage.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions and wild stabs in the dark will be gratefully recieved.

Very informative with plans for various solutions.

The Navik might be a god bet - desgined for boats up to 30ft.

I think second hand windvanes are rare, because they tend to get sold with the boat. Anyone selling one off a boat they are keeping, be sure to ask them why they are selling it.
