I remember a few years ago there was a powered winch handle which was on the market. I don't remember the name at the moment, but it was available through Deacons Brokerage in Bursledon. I'm not too sure how well it worked it it might be worth a look.

i think the situation is being monitored by Social Services
more worryingly tho
the man claims you cannot tell the difference between blended supermarket whisky and finest malt
it was this that first aroused our suspicions.

The holding tank gleams, a fiery kernel,
Enhusked by a fog infernal:
Here, for my wonted alcholic raptures,
I sit and count my malts by chapters;
Wi' a' this care and a' this grief,
And sma', sma' prospect of relief,
And nought but bog reek i' my head,
How can I taste owt near the heid?-

It's worse than that, she's now started question everything I tell (sorry, ask) her to do!! I wouldn't mind, but half the time I don't myself know what I'm asking her to do, or why!! It's just a pathetic way for me to try to regrab the high ground.......sadly, as a retired senior captain (small c) of the TV industry, she's far too bright for my liking - I'm a doomed man!

We\'re all doomed ..

The curfew tolls the knell of parting day,
The lonely boat sails slowly o'er the sea,
The helmsman homeward plods her weary way,
And leaves the world to darkness and to me.

Re: We\'re all doomed ..

Is this a new winch, which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand?Come, let me clutch thee:
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.
Art thou not, self-tailing version, sensible
To feeling, and cheap at half the price? Or art thou but
A winch of the mind,a false creation,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
I see thee yet in form as palpable,
As this which now I wind.
Thou marshall'st me the way that I was going,
And such an instrument I was to use.

'The Scottish Play'
(a lot of golf, apparently.)

Exit, pursued by a Bavaria...
