will this charger work? on this battery ?

will this charger work on this battery see atached pics plz

Yes it should work but its only an old fashioned non automatic charger AFAICS with none of the features that most people would be looking for these days. No bells, no whistles, non singing and non dancing.

Its output is not very high so charging from any significant depth of discharge will take a while. Intended I would think for a car battery about half the capacity of yours.

It would not be advisable to leave it on for prolonged periods as there is presumably no float charge facility
Allow it to charge the battery and disconnect or switch off.

charger

i attempted to charge my boat battery as it ran too low to crank the engine (lack of use over winter months). This charger seemed to drain this battery!! i got a more heavy duty ringer charger which is doing the job nicely now.
Many thanks to all the replies.

Ring, who apparently supplied the one you used, makes a series of Smart Chargers.

Has revitalized, charged and saved a number of batteries for me. Fast and automatic.

I have the 8 amp version of that. I only use it as a portable charger. I dont think it will be suitable for permanent connection because when not powered up it draws a small but significant current from the battery. No problem over a few days maybe but could be over a longer period.

The newer Ring Smartcharge + was I believe recently "best buy"
in a battery charger review in one of the boating magazines.

Agreed - needs to be connected to 230v to keep the battery 100% charged.
This due to the fact thatit works as a test instrument when power is off, and the testing takes a little power.
