Apply pressure to the government to keep the increase in red duty to the bare minimum in order to calm nerves of potential boat buyers in light of the Peters Opal situation. Whilst most of us don't use that much fuel to make a huge difference, those entering the boat world may not now this and walk away. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Perhaps the RYA could also petition the government?
If this is all aout tax harmonisation througout the "Union" why the hell is diesel cheaper, fags cheaper and booze cheaper when I go away on holiday?
OUR Government should tell Brussells "NO!"
If we have to declare our use as leisure or commercial when buying fuel, how do you prove what you are? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The amateur flying lobby are preparing a case for reduced duty on AvGas as they are a "minority", why don't the BMF do the same for boaters???
