I have a 30 years old Nimbus 27 fitted with the original TX Controls TX45 Bow Thruster which now needs attention,
My question is… can I unbolt and remove the thruster motor with the boat still afloat?
Thank you Guys.

no idea what this bow thruster looks like, but I'd be v.impressed if you don't sink your boat by removing it!
On mine, an old VolvoPenta thruster, I can remove the motor and that's it. Gbox, mount, etc are a boat out job.

It is only removal of the motor that I am referring to in my post, thanks for your reply

If the motor is above the water line you can probably take it out without any problems. Most boats are designed like this.

Nor knowing your thruster, it is likely to be this typical design:

Everything but the propeller and the gearbox right in front of it is above the tunnel, high and dry inside the boat. As mentioned, the seal must be tight, but you should be safe if you have no leaks there already. The bolts holding the motor are not involved in the seal.
