Thanks for clarifying that up with a direct quote from the manufacturers of the engine.

My point exactly, if it was so dangerous, the boat factory will definitely not sell boats with trolling valves.

If you could give me the same answer to my query about drinking red wine and Turkish beer I might be tempted to propose to you.
I can positively vouch for good red wine: abuses aside, there's no way it can hurt your health.
Sorry, no experience with Turkish beer, though.
Oh, and neither with Turkish red wine, just in case that's what you meant. But I did specify GOOD red wine... :D

Isn't Turkish red wine called diesel?

LOL, I wasn't aware of that, but I can see why.
I've only been in Istanbul a couple of times for work (beautiful town, btw), but even if back then the local colleagues brought me out for dinner in a very good restaurant, the least I can tell about their wines is that I wasn't impressed...

Have relations (by marriage) who live in Istanbul and their market is great, if you get the opportunity to visit it then do so as it is an unforgettable experience,

Fortified by the advice on here I spent 5 hours trolling for sea bass yesterday in an area that is usually pretty productive but all I caught were a couple of plastic bags. One of the local sages told me that sea temp is still to high @ 21.5C and I will need to wait until it drops below 18C. I gave the engines a good blowout on the way home and ran with WOT for around 10 minutes.
If anyone wants to convince me Turkish red wine is not good then send me a bottle of something you approve of so I can compare. PM me for my address. For anyone visiting Turkey could I recommend trying trying something from the Kavaklidere Prestige or Selection range.

Having said what I’ve said a few tears ago ( Sunseeker ownership period ) I bought some fishing gear for big game .Tuna and bill fish such like .
Went to a reputable shop I think in Sanary sur Mer ? Asked how ?
They said 6 miles out for 6 hrs ,@ 6 knots .
So off we went ,wife helmed kids and I at the back with several 100 m of ridiculous llb thick line out .

I even rigged up a strap in case it was a big un !

Result
1 st a Tesco carrier bag - surprising how much bend in the rod that created at 6 knots
2nd a diving bird - Seagull thingy - I could have rung it neck but with daughter present spent a dangerous 1/2 hr untangling the dam thing and let it go , it was tangled not hooked .

This is before I researched diesel longevity btw ,sold the boat anyhow so any “ damage “ basically is just deferred to the next owner ,
Rod makes a nice ornimant and talking point in the Itama .:)
