As title suggests. Need to replace a damaged hood for a 2015 Suzuki that got damaged in transit. Will a later model hood fit and secure?
Will a post 2017 Suzuki af150 outboard hood fit a 2015 model?

Go on a usa suzuki website as they list all parts and prices, try to ignore that they are half to a 3rd of the euro zone and see what years your selected cover covers ?

Firstly I am going to presume you mean a DF 150 not AF, as I don’t know of an “AF “model.
So as far as I can tell, It should do if the replacement one is from a pre 2019 Motor. In 2019 changed the design to a different shape with a kind of swept up bit at the rear of the hood.
If you google, Browns point marine, and click on Suzuki parts catalog look up, you can compare the part numbers. However there can be loads of different numbers depending on colour, decals etc.
I recently took a punt on buying a damaged (very damaged, no hood I’m afraid) incomplete 2017 DF150 for the lower leg including gearbox and prop to replace the one I destroyed on my 2011 model when a rock jumped out at me! Browns had the part numbers almost exactly the same, but not quite. Luckily it fits like a glove, and now I have loads of spare parts. I think the different prefix must have been for something very minor. There’s loads of these Suzuki’s about, would it be possible to try before you buy?
