Wifi question

I have just replaced the laptop on the boat.

Both the new and old laptops have wifi. Can I make them talk to each other?

I have tried playing with "wizards" and so on but without success.

Yes you can. How much do you know about wifi?

If you don't have a common router or server, you'll probably need to reset the wifi software from infrastructure to ad-hoc or similar? and also to set the OS to share the two computers on a home networks or similar (depends on which OS you have on the two computers) which if is XP you can probably do through a Wizard. Otherwise you will need to learn a bit of networking
