Wifi onboard... my solution

The max they could give me was an extra 1gig bolt on giving me 2gig until my contract renewal and even then the max, as far as I can see, would be 8 gig. I'm not sure that'd be enough. This EE mifi is working really well so far and £20 for 15 gig pm is a much better price than I'd get from o2. It also allows up to 10 devices to access it wirelessly. No regrets so far.

I, too, use an unlocked Huawei. Bought off Ebay, came direct from China, and it works well.

However, I used the WiFi at Chichester on Saturday for streaming TV, and it worked well for the first time.

What I did notice though was that, although you have a "free" 4 hour per day limit, I logged on for about an hour or so, and when I logged out, it showed that I only had 57 minutes remaining.
 
three do 10GB for £15 on a 30 day contract. Their coverage checker says it's HSDPA (i.e. 3G) only at swanwick, but that's what I have in Brighton: Apparently here we're on the edge of their LTE coverage so I could probably hoist my mifi thingy up the mast (No really, I'm a motorboater but the sticky uppy thing is for extending communications rage) but I've just not felt the need to: decent 3G is fine for low res youtube cat videos.

Premier's wifi in Brighton works sometimes but is generally unusable. We tried the £15-per month premium access when we got here. Waste of money.

Interesting. Whenever I have managed to get Swanwicks Wifi, I've noticed it keeps clocking away even tho you've hit disconnect. I thought it was just me and a one off. I wonder if they're aware?

I mentioned it to one of the girls in the office on Sunday, and got the "oh really?" type of response. However, I distinctly got the feeling as our conversation progressed that she'd heard it before.

I have not had a time problem just problems with the whole thing, the office are not interested in the wifi issues as it a private company that set it up and installed it.
 
I've just flicked an e-mail to Reticom (apparently they're the installers/suppliers) to highlight the access problems. Not expecting much of a response if any if I'm honest but hey...worth a try.

Update:
Well I'll be jiggered!!...Got a response within the hour.
Anyway...apparently Premiers Wifi system was designed and installed by a French company and Reticoms role is to help users connect to the wifi network and to monitor that network. He went on to say there was a problem with E pontoons access point which was apparently rectified yesterday morning. He's asked me to let him know if I still experience problems and if so, he will investigate further.
I completely forgot to mention the time/clock issue but will pass that on in the next e-mail.
What a nice change to get such a quick response. Might be worthwhile others experiencing access problems flicking over an e-mail so they can see it's a common issue?
