Hi All looking for advice.summer south coats sailing low data use .any one found any good sim deals ! Struggling to cut through the sales crap !

Thanks

The downside when theres more one of you is that both need to know how to hotspot the phone. I also use mobile broadband now at home, for two of us with little TV we use c. 100Gb / month. So we have a separate mobile router that can be used onboad or at home. Vodafone used to have better coverage for the central S coast and EE in the W country, look for an MVNO with acceptable costs on one of those networks. Currently have Lebara on a rolling month contract in the phone with 12Gb/month, performance at home is excellent (100Mbps+) much better than the O2 mobile broadband which is anything from 15-45 Mbps

I enjoy getting away from the hurly burly of everyday life. Phone used weather planning, Marine Safety Broadcasts for when at sea.

First thing I would do :

Each Country and area has a coverage listing you can google .... tells you not only what provider, but also expected speeds. Its quite an eye opener when you start looking and you see the reality rather than the sales crap !

I travel a lot (OK last year not much due to spine injury, now I do again) ... I try to check out which PAYG to get as I go through Airport.

Many such as EU have unlimited Data packages on fixed monthly price and I believe UK still has some ?

We just used our mobile phone as a hotspot while living aboard - actually, I still do now I'm ashore; whatever your current choice is in the phone will be fine.
