wich radar reflector

I am thinking of putting this radar reflector on Isola Bella:

But it wil be next to the radar (where the TV antenna is now)

but on a Stainless-Steel Pedestal Mount like this :

what does the forum think of it any good or good reflector but bad position?

will i have a dead angle on my radarscreen or not ? are these Tri-Lens any good?

advice please?

I think this could cause clutter or worse in the direction of the reflector, have seen radars mounted above the reflector but have no personal experience of this, maybe try the radar manufacturer for advice.

This make of reflector came out as being the best of the "passive" types, in a recent test - if that means anything /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Actually on that basis I went out and bought one - looks daft on our "arch" though.

You will have a blind spot if you fit it on the same level
as the scanner and as near as that, but hey there might
not be ship in the area of the dead angle!!!!!

Or your RADAR Receiver Front end will receive the full transmit power reflected from a range of 6 inches and the magic smoke will escape from the transistors.

What is the position of your radar then to the reflector ? do you have blind spots ?(on the radar screen /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

YM June 2005 page 72. Tri-Lens was the best passive, See Me was the 'Premium Product' but £500.

Try and fit it either below or above the scanner and further
away as possible. Looking at the height of the radar arch,
and i can't see a mast, you may have a problem
seems the only way is up, one solution would be to increase
the height of the stainless post, it won't look aesthetically
pleasing, but if you make it demountable you can take down
in harbour
