Why is the ship on Bramble bank?

There is a lot of tide coming in the next few hours to lift her off.

Not much wind at the moment but the tide setting her on but rising, depending on her length, draft and interaction with the bank with it may be the tide turn around 0200 -0300 that will get her off...

They maybe be glad the tide starts flowing "out" before high water...
 
Red Funnels going east of the Bramble and the incoming ships from the east are being told to anchor in Alpha & Bravo anchorages north of the Ryde Middle.
 
As of now, this 152000 tonne, 1100' long container vessel remains aground.

And there are several other sizeable vessels looking to enter and leave, around that bend. And there's a Sunsail boat lurking nearby, prob'ly chasing salvage. It'll be a long night.....
