Why do you call yourself .......

Well we live in the shadow of the hill and have a house full of P....... felines ;)

I was going to use the name of my first boat, but the music didn't exist when it was named "RAPA"

I'm sure I had a good reason when I chose it, but bugger me if I can remember why now

Now my boat name Iditarod is far more interesting. Needed a unique name to register it on the Thames where I kept it for a while. Iditarod is the annual sled race in Alaska, and I'd stayed at the hotel which was the race HQ. Thought it would be an unusual enough name that it would be unique on the Thames. It was, and have spent every after explaining the name and why I chose it. Next time I'll go for something simple.

I was originally h00, a kind of play on part of my works login ID and water.
Later we bought our first sailboat and was thinking of a name we could use incorporating the kids names, so chucked them into an anagram thing using their first 2 letters of each of their names and one of the words that came up was Bejasus(Ben,Jade,Summer & Sasha), also the boat scared the bejasus out of us the first time we took her out, so it seemed fitting. Incidentally, she was named Walkabout when we bought her.

T'was the previous Mrs Giblets' nickname for me. Can't use the current Mrs Giblets' nickname as I would probably be banned

It was the most repeatableof the many knicknames I aquired as an apprentice, folowed by the yesr of my birth, whe i realised how many !topcats! were around.

Because I can't be b*ggered to get it changed back to SeaHound - which is the name of our boat but meant I was generally mistaken for a chap.

Well mikehibb is Mike Hibbert, from the early email days at work when you could only have an 8 character name.

Just to lazy to think up a new one.

I do have another name that I use on an Off Road Rant Page/Land Rover forum. At least one member on YBW also knows me from there.

Because my boat is called Rowana, and that's because it's a Macwester Rowan 8 meter.

I'm a simple soul, really! :D

Because my mother and father were lovers of "Take it from Here" on their steam radio and the show featured a gormless couple called Ron and Eth Glum. In one unforgettable episode, Ron was doing the Times crossword and used the word flobbergob to complete the puzzle.

I'm unsure whether my parents christened me flobbergob because they identified me early on as a gormless baby or whether it was just their idea of a joke.

Cheers, flobbergob.
