So I had a problem with the prop of the outboard (in Greece). It would go slowly OK but when the revs increased, the speed did not. Turns out that the bushing inside the prop had disintegrated. I was sold a new propeller. I have been told by a UK Yamaha dealer that this is correct and that the the bushing cannot simply be replaced.
It is hard to understand why the bushing cannot be replaced. Does anyone know someone who might do this, so I can then have a spare prop for when it happens again?
Thanks
