Sitting here Christmas morning ensuring the sky's are safe for Santa's return flight to Lapland!! Merry Christmas from the Scottish and Oceanic Area Control Centre.
Used to work Christmas but not any more ........ mind you with the mayhem in my house this morning I'm beginning to think its the better option! Merry Christmas at all Air Traffic Controllers everywhere.
Bad luck bejasus. I have managed to compress the entire years work into a single big-bang event lasting a split second, so it must be possible to do the same with six months work?
proving difficult to find an actual nice one where the seller is actually willing to let go. A few don't realise that a second hand boat shouldn't be the same price as a new one less a few percent cos it isn't quite as new as it was, or (more recently) quite few boats advertised being in one place but located in another...
Maybe, just maybe, we have spoken on HF/VHF when I was flying for BA Longhaul - I left in 1983....but in any case, have a great Christmas an excellent New Year.

The mega data centres are all speaking cheerfully with each other; raw oil is flowing ashore and across continents in all kinds of pipelines, refineries are still "wet"; you lucky airline people are getting your fuel delivered in the network; the desk controller's fingers are well and truly crossed, and I have promised not to run an invocation exercise until after dinner.
From the energy infrastructure guys and gals, happy Christmas to all.
(Paul: your location puts you in the middle of the North Sea. I have heard of information security, but .... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
this is my first ever xmas completely off work after 30 years on shifts .I now work in an office but am so used to xmas days at work it seems a little odd being able to have a drink and not other about being on night shift .
Well, I'm not exactly at work, I'm at home but laying off the sherberts as I am the duty coastguard around here for the night. No night fishing please, chaps, all stay ashore!
