Re: Who\'s fat??

Jan 1 looks like a good starting point. I'll be reporting in pounds as that's all my scales tell me/forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Currently 227.

Re: Who\'s fat??

Right then, you lardies, you'd better get on with it. Smugly, I did it two years ago, and dropped around 3.5 stone to get to 11.25 (I'm 5'10", and was just under 15st). So if I can do it, so can you lot.

Oh, and as an aside, I took 4" off my waist, dropped my blood pressure by better than 20mmHg and came off the blood pressure tablets.

It also cost me a sodding fortune, as I went through two complete wardrobes...

The boat now planes somewhat quicker, as well.

6'2" and 18 stone. Quite a disappointment really, my Great Uncle Tom was 7' 28 stone with a 24" neck and not a pound of it was fat - he was a copper during the war and people rarely resisted arrest!

For all those on the thread feeling smug about their health having lost weight, statistically drink and fags will kill you before fat does, so give them up before you start the diet! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Well I could do with a few KG should be 80-81 at present 87.

even in Nigeria Is seem to put on as maybe its because my campboss is Indian a I have curry freshly prepared most days. Heaven I must be in it.

I could go to National mess and eat goat, grasscutter and yam or Gari, I would lose loads but from the wrong end.

Can stand curry tho??

Hard man

Count me in, if I can persuade wife to part with extra life rings I'll count her in even number two son.

Got a good cause or just for fun. Could be a article in it for MBY

Actually, according to my cardiologist friend, its hereditary factors which are the number one determinant of life expectancy followed by smoking and then other lifestyle factors so if your old man keeled over at 45, I should carry on filling your face 'coz it wont make any difference. Anyway, latest nonsense says wine and chocolate is good for you

Went to chest and heart recently (saw the smug ook on the nurse as I walked in thinking hmm cholestrol case) ECG fine, blood pressure absolutlely ban on, cholesterol level ok and lung capacity fine.

All she said to me was that I need to lose weight.

Re: Who\'s fat??

Now look what you've gone and done! Started a major guilt complex! This could be far greater than "Fat Farm" or any of those other weight loss programmes - you've "outed" more poeple than ....... I need to be politically correct here - so anyone can add their own interpretation! So we have a challenge! Lets make the deadline April 1st - most % loss agaist honest weight as off firts Monday after New Year - set up excel sheet and weigh each week. Winner gets a "free" dinner at venue to be agreed! All who enter agree to a £10 kitty contribution!!

Re: Who\'s fat??

Wait until New Year ha I would have lost at least 6 pounds by then.

Why not make it a weigh in at the Mercury do where afterwards we can go and fill our faces and get pye eyed. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif and I can collect y winnings.

And you don't look like you need to lose weight to me either, so you're probably gonna live long enough to spend all the money your partner(s!) leave you when they pop their clogs!!!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Who\'s fat??

Lynn & I are both members of the Fat B'stards society, and also are planning a New Year to lose the most cuddly bits.
We vote 5 stone between us. We think a joint entry will be best for us.
Plans include fitting empty boxes for half the fridge, and disabling half the functions on the cooker. Padlock on the biccy jar, and remove the (currently) 4kg of assorted chocolate from the fridge!
Once I've got rid of the last case of Old Speckled Hen, I should be fighting fit for it.
Haven't got a clue how to deal with the red wine lake though.
Should be easy as my new job in 2005 does not have a subsidised very well run restaurant as its central plank of lunchtime society.

Should have ordered the new Jeanneau without the Cordon Bleu Oven option!!!!!

I presume we will have a thread on New Years Day when we post our handicap
weights for starters orders?

Jim & Lynn
11ft 1 in tall and 27 stone

<hr width=100% size=1>Jeanneau 35 - only 13,272 lbs displacement, not even 6 tons,what a lightweight!!!

Re: Who\'s fat??

Absolutely, I very much subscribe to the hedonists handbook - I just happen to not smoke 'coz it makes you smelly and don't drink 'coz I was raised in a pub which can put you off for life as it did me.

It just strikes me I know lots of people who obsess about their weight yet still smoke and drink heavily, which kinda defeats the object! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Who\'s fat??

Can you make it in New Year Julie as we have a long weekend and I will be chef for about 25 bodies for two days. Picking and tasting puts it on and it's hot work requiring lots of Italian wine and Port to hydrate me. Presently 5'6" and 13.5 stone. Would love to get back to 11.25 stones. Hoping Santa's getting me a bike?
