Who is going where for May Hol?

Rhodes for a week on a new Bav 41. Four men in their 2nd childhood that hope the wind doth blow heartily from the South. From the forecast I've seen that doesn't seem very likely, in fact nothing above an F 1or2 looks likely. Oh goody we'll have to motor everywhere - that'll save a lot of time and allow us to do the complete planned itinery/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif.
Probably spend a couple of nights anchored off Faliraki /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Taking our new Beneteau (new to us but 16 years old!) for her first serious sail with us (well outside Chichester Harbour anyway) - probably Cowes/Newtown Creek/Yarmouth.

Re: Across the Puddle?

Forecast as I write seems to be NE on Sat with W/SW on Monday. With the Moodys filling up Cherbourg, Fecamp full up with the RSC lot and RORC filling up Le Harve I am going to try for Alderney, Dilette or G. Of course it will be all change and headwinds by the weekend.

We are picking friends up at Southampton Airport on Friday am and will be crossing in Blue Chip from Haslar to either Cherbourg on Friday or Weymouth early Saturday depending on winds and what time we get to the boat

Not telling you ! You just might think that its a good idear and then instead of a peaceful quiet country pub or resturant on the shore it will become over booked and busy with no anchorage./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

As my warm weather crew have abandoned ship due to the thought of rain, Cherbourg is shut for the holiday and is going to be full, I think I shall head for St P P.
The tides are right, the wind is forecast to be from the East and I am getting short of Bucktrouts Spicy.

Has Jimi cancelled his trip north of Watford? Someone has created some horrible weather so own up! We were going to leave this afternoon for points south where boats are masculine and the hypermarkets close on a British Bank Holiday weekend just 'cos it's May 1st, but now it looks like Weymouth or the Solent and fish & chips.

Have a good weekend everyone regardless.

Have a good trip Les!

Amaya came out Monday and was due back in yesterday, but still waiting on weather to finish the antifouling and gave up hope this morning. Changed the anodes, polished hull, serviced propeller and all seacocks and reduced prop pitch by 2 degrees (19" MaxProp).

Looks like gardening and household chores for me this weekend, plus making a nuisance of myself here.
