Who Holds the Record?

Ive heard that Moose and No1 Moose are close to a record for providing assistance to sailors in distress this season. Of course they are modest, and dont want to boast, but come on, post here and let us all hear the details. Any one else got similar experiences to tell?

erm Moose puts us all to shame but this year we have so far towed a little fishing boat all the way back up the Itchen when he broke down on a stormy day in the Solent. One day when I was cleaning up the boat on it's Itchen mooring and saw a novice rower (out on his first solo mission from the club down river) capsise and almost drown so I took the tender off the davits and went to the rescue. Finaly there was out neighbour on the mooring next to us decided to buy himself a littly sailing dingy and teach himself to sail on a rather gusty day dressed in jeans, wellies, 3 jumpers and no life jacket. Needless to say he capsised and stuck the mast in the mud within 5 mins! By the time we got to him he was almost being dragged under by the tide and it took the 2 of us to drag him onto the baithing platform.

No tails from the high seas I am afraid!

Only done the one so far this season (on the way to the mercury forum get-together) but reckon it must count cause it was blowing a tad, I was singlehanding, and I managed to get one of the crew of a capasized racing cat onboard by myself before the rescue boat arrived.

We have got to be in the lead. We rescued a fellow forumite no less!!!

He fell off my bathing platform, pissed, in Alderney and missed his dinghy completely.

Funnily, I have only rescued motor boaters this year, 3 of them, all for broken engines.
