Which small boat for use around the Scillies?

We spend the majority of our holidays in the Scillies. I'm looking for a small boat to use whilst here. I want something I can beach and something that will get me around all the islands. There are lots of Orkney boats here, and I have considered the Longliner 2 as a good option. Am I missing anything?

How about a small power cat, loads based in Scilly, used to be made on Bryher now in Plymouth. Or a RIB. Lots of smallish boats would be suitable.

I don't know much about powerboats, but I posed a question recently as a friend of mine has just bought an Orkney Longliner. Someone suggested the Longliner is a slow boat, and the Strikeliner is a better choice.
