Hi there
Just after some advice. My parents are just in the process of buying a Fairline Targa 43, and at present it has a hon wave dinghy with it which seems a bit wide. Does anybody know which small RIB fit this boats garage well. Also any known pitfalls problems withe boat would be handy to know.
Thanks

The best RIBS are no longer made in my view, Avon.
If you can pick up A 280 ther a great rib I've had a few, I fact I've just sold mine as I don't have any means of lifting it on to my boat, I do have a Yamaha 15hp two Stoke if your interested, they make a great combination. I can supply you with a brand new 280 if req.

I have an Avon 280 dinghy in mine which fits nicely although you do have to deflate the tubes to get it into the garage.

T43's are great boats, a classic in the making and I don't know of any major in built issues.
Is it the one at Solent Yachts on the Hamble River that they are buying?

Did you sell yours andy? I'm not aware the one at SMY is under offer as its my friend johns as you know, genny man.

The boat is a2004 from Plymouth full med spec. It's been surveyed last week and it did ok a couple of very small issues which the vendor will address and then all being well it'll be in the Med within a month.
As for the tender, if it was mine I'd have an Avon with a 15 in a heartbeat. But my parents are in there late 60s and whilst surprisingly fit and healthy I think they just want something with a smallish outboard that'll go straight in the garage without having to deflate etc

Try finding a Rib Eye 260 that has an aluminium hull. Nice and lightweight, stable and with a solid hul will be easy to launch and recover into the garage.

Do you know what width will fit?

We have a Walker Bay Genesis 310 FL that we're just prepping for sale...

+1 for this as a tender, but can't comment on the suitability for your garage. Give RibEye a call, they are great people to deal with.
