Which Raymarine plotters work with the ipad app?

TA.

I have to say, im completely confused by the raymarine products. A/C/E/Es all seem to do the same thing and have the same sizes for similar money in lots of instances.

Next boatshow might have to be more equipment and less boats

Oh, and another question. The boat has a ST6000 vintage autopilot control head and associated course computer and drive units. Can I upgrade the control head to a later ST70 style screen? Will I need to do thus if I upgrade to current MFD/Radar or will old sea talk talk to new sea talk?

Screen sizes aside, as I understand it a series = touchscreen only; c series = knobs and buttons only; e series = both touchscreen and buttons. (There's obviously more differentiators than this but it's probably a case of rtfw...).

I'm not sure about your autopilot question - but to connect old seatalk (seatalk1) to new seatalk (stng) you need to use a Raymarine E22158 converter.

Most of the new MFDs have ST1 as well as ST2 so will work with this AP, if not either a converter required (as said above) or can be connected to NMEA 0183 which is how you would connect to Garmin etc.

I put an e7 plotter in to the Raymarine system on my 2005 Beneteau. All I needed was the converter and the advice from the dealer that I bought all the bits from was that I didn't need to power the converter. It works fine and I use the ST6000 autopilot head for my S3 Raymarine autopilot.

You will be able to sell the out control head which will help fund some of the ST70 swap over.
