Which marinas to consider on the East Coast with a big cat

Ipswich Haven could easily take your cat, and lift her out if you chose to do it there. The dock is great and the staff generally helpful. Its only real issue is that it has Ipswich around it; a more depressing and grey town it would be hard to imagine.
Lowestoft?

I'm surprised . We have found it an interesting place when visiting.
Guided walks operate from the waterfront on Tuesdays and Thursdays @2pm during the season. There are over 600 listed buildings in Ipswich.

Another potential lift out place, not glamorous but prices more reasonable than the usual suspects, is Melton Boatyard (aka Granary Yacht Harbour), a little upstream of Woodbridge.

They have a fair sized storage area, a large slipway, and say they can lift up to 36 tons and 70 ft but don't mention max beam.

There's also a tiny 'marina' there, partly drying IIRC. There is (or was) a fair sized catamaran berthed there, but I doubt the yard would often be able to accommodate another similar in the marina.

Access between Woodbridge and Melton Boatyard is shallow and tide constrained, with a very narrow, not at all deep and very winding channel, marked by tiny unlit buoys, but manageable (though rather challenging at night, I found!). On the other hand the cat (mentioned above) berthed there seemed to be in and out very frequently indeed, and could often be seen out and about further down the river.

Lowestoft?

Yes, but I think Lowestoft could be on the cusp of a mini renaissance (if Lowestoft and renaissance can be used in the same sentence). There's so much history there waiting to be brought to life.

I agree, there are many fine buildings and the town's past is rich in history (the wet dock alone is fascinating). It's also the only place I can think of where many of its Medieval buildings are boarded up and not maintained. The centre is full of empty shops and the only businesses thriving seem to be the numerous Turkish barber shops. Just waiting for the wonderfully gothic Tolly brewery to be demolished. Then, once ABP have closed the upriver port and built on it, Ipswich's identity of the region's most ghastly town will be complete.

We are looking at purchasing a 14m cat with a beam of 7.3m and would like to keep her on the East Coast but I'm struggling to find the information I need as to where to keep her so am looking for advice.

The problems ( as I see it) are that
a) The beam reduces the number of marinas that can take us in the first place.
b) Not all yards can lift her out for the winter.

Ideally, I am thinking the Orwell, or the Crouch ?

Based on the above, where should we be thinking of ?. If expe ce isn't a good Co cideration
Woolverstone. On the Riverside and e berthing
