The problem with the Loctite websites is that they have no marine focus. They have a myriad of products but there is no recommendation for marine use. Any of us who use Loctite, anywhere, can attest that its pretty good - but which is the best for marine usage? Consequently the only application information appears to be 'us'.
I have just 'undone' some shackles moused with 609 I used a 20cm adjustable with considerable force. I thought I had 13 shackles, my arithmetic was wrong - its 18, and I may try something a bit less robust.
But why I'm using 609, no idea - and its far from obsolete

though why is does not appear in the UK website - that's anyone's guess.
It might well be there are a larger number of applicable products but a product suitable to 'simply' seize an unstressed bolt might need something different to an anchor shackle.
