I've been looking for the same, but also wanted to make sure that it would run directly off 12V. After some research found that you cannot connect the Sharp in Richer Sounds to 12V supply, but can connect later versions.

Currently looking at a Philips.

I recently got a Sharp LCD 15S1E Aquos, which is very light and portable with a carry handle which make cabin shifting very easy.

http://www.sharp.co.uk/products/product.asp?id=830

After shopping around (Tottenham court rd etc) I tried a place I'd used before (Sound and Vision, 01204 861861) and had it delivered next day all for £390 against a regular price around £500 or more.

As long as you don't want to power anything aditional thats more power hungry such a kettle you should be OK with a portable inverter that you could plug into a cigar adapter for those times when your not on shorepower!

We bought an LG Flatron 15" last year, from Currys £399.
Ive seen them cheaper now though.
It has 12V, mains, phono A/V's, Scart and most importantly a PC 15 pin D input.
As we have it above the chart table, it also makes a most impressive chart monitor, which I feed from the laptop on the helm running C-map, and use a wireless moose (sorry mouse) to control the laptop and by default the picture on the monitor. Extension VGA cable about £12 and wireless moose about £8.95.
Cheap dual station system.
I'm well chuffed, one of my better purchases. (There aren't many).

Steve.

We put a couple of Manhattan 15" on Damn, cracking pieces of kit, excellent spec, 240v & 12v with TV, Video, RGB (PlayStation) and PC ports on as standard, see http://www.transleisure.co.uk/manhattan-lcd-flatscreen.shtml, but you can get for a far better price elsewhere. We paid £349 each back then, but have heard for £299 recently. Hooked up to a 12v Manhattan DVD plyer in aft cabin, sorted!! Paul
