Hey all

In the living area of my yacht we have cheap, nasty lights which are made in a land far far away and the switches and build quality is terrible,
The older ones in the main bedroom and toilet are really good, see photos, does anyone know where I can buy some of these (or something close) please. They are solid and the switch does not get stuck in the middle.

Cheers all

We installed Prebit lights on our latest build. This was for both wall and ceiling interior lights. They are excellent quality, infinitely dimmable with red light switching on many of their luminaries. They are German made and have been very reliable.

Not the same, but we fitted a couple of these

They work well, and the USB charger is handy. A quick touch to turn them on or off, a long one to brighten or dim

I have LED strip lights on magnetic mounts under the side lockers .... they are USB charged ... have remotes (one remote can switch all on if pointed at each one in turn) ....... lights run for ages ..... and easy to just unclip - plug in and charge. No need for cables etc.

For cockpit and roaming use ... other day I bought :

Charges via USB C .... has a 2000mAh 1S Lithium ... 6W LED array ... The handle extends so you can carry - suspend from ... or just set it on table ... cost ? 12.99 euros

We’ve fitted five domestic, mains voltage lamps in the saloon (three different models, each with different bulbs!) and 12-30v leds from “Bedazzled” and are really pleased with the results.
The leds are available with just about any fitting including large or small Edison screw or bayonet.
The choice this way is far less limited - just a matter of finding something small enough. Two have built in pull cords, one I fitted a small, surface mounted switch nearby & for the two metal spotlights I used touch sensors, also available from Bedazzled.
I was a bit concerned about corrosion as they are not made with “marine” materials but after several years there’s nothing.
