I'm about to buy this year's Almanac.
Historically I've always bought the full Reed's publication. For the last couple of years I've saved a few quid by buying the cutdown ring bound Reed's Channel Almanac, which has been perfectly adequate for my needs, although this seems unavailable from all the usual outlets at the moment.
I see that Amazon are offering the "Reeds Practical Boat Owner Small Craft Almanac 2007" which is about 12 quid versus 30 something for the full publication.
With a one year old and another on the way on board, our crusing range will be very limited this year I doubt we'll leave the Solent, so realistically I'll probably only need tidal tables for the Solent, pilotage info for the Solent ports/harbours and an aide memoire for buoyage, lights, chart data etc.
Anyone have experience of the Reeds Small Craft Almanac and care to offer an opinion as to whether it will be sufficient for my modest requirements ?
