Hi, I'm in the market for a 25 to 32ft diesel motorcruiser.
My preferences are;
25 to 32 ft
Preferably around £20 but up to £30K
Single or twin diesel - definitely no petrol.
Be capable of 20 knots
Aft cockpit, does not have to be enclosed.
4 berths
Age not important but must be Fibreglass.
I love some of the 70's and 80's boats like the Fjord 30 Diplomat but there are not very many for sale. I have found a nice one for sale but it is petrol. I enquired with lancing marine and they would want £17k for two Ford 145hp turbo's ex fitting. That would put them out of reach.
Any advice would be very helpful. I would like the boat for pottering around the coast so it would need to be able to handle a decent sea.
I've seen a few decent boats out there that might suit but the vary a lot. At the small end of the scale I have seen a re-engined fast diesel Princess 25 up to a Sealine 285 or a Fairline Sedan at the bigger end of the scale.
Can anyone recommend a decent but good value boat.
Thanks...
